Los Amigos de Los Niños is proud to share the incredible achievement of our scholarship student, Hannia Aguilar, and her team at the 2025 CECyTEBCS State Creativity and Technology Innovation Contest and Hackathon! 🎉

On May 7th, students from across Baja California Sur gathered in Santiago, Los Cabos, to showcase their creativity, scientific innovation, and dedication to groundbreaking research. Hannia, alongside Derek Ruiz Aguilar and Charlin Varela, under the guidance of their professor, Guillermo Zuñiga, presented their award-winning project: “Antioxidants and Oxidative Stress in Production Poultry: Natural Solutions to Improve Productivity.” 🐥🌿
Their research explores the use of date seed flour—a natural, antioxidant-rich alternative—to regulate oxidative stress in chicks, promoting better productivity and health. Thanks to their dedication and ingenuity, they secured first place in the Research Projects category 🏆, earning accreditation to Saltillo, Coahuila, where they will proudly represent Baja California Sur from June 2nd to 6th!

We congratulate Hannia and her CECyT 01 Mulegé team for their hard work, perseverance, and passion for scientific discovery. Your success inspires us all!
Stay tuned for updates as they prepare for the national competition!
