Thanks to our generous members and donors we were able to purchase 32 computer workstations for CECyTE 01 Mulegé. Last year CECyTE teachers told us their computer shortage was the single greatest barrier to teaching their high school students. The old computers struggled to run scheduling software in their tourist services sector. Of the original 40 machines provided to them 10 years ago only 12 were still operating. This resulted in three and sometimes four students sharing a single machine during a class.

We evaluated potential solutions. New machines purchased through Hugo Martinez, a local computer businessman was clearly the best option. After eleven months of hard work the ribbon cutting ceremony this week at the computer lab represents a tremendous victory for everyone involved.
