Mulegé High School Team Shines at Nationals

The CECyT Team 01 Mulegé recently competed in the National Science Expo held in Tabasco State recently after taking the top prize in La Paz this past spring. They presented their “Date-Live” project, focused on assessing the antioxidant capacity, phenolic profile, and antibacterial activity of dates grown in here in Mulegé. 1,669 students participated with 480 projects representing all 32 states of the Mexican Republic.

Our senior high school scholarship student, Hannia Thaily Aguilar Romo writes that –

“The trip to Tabasco was an unforgettable experience. Although we did not achieve international accreditation, the testimonials and comments we received about our project were very encouraging and make us proud of our work. It was an unforgettable experience that will serve us well in the future.

My team and I send you a hug, as well as thank you for the great support you gave us.”

We are very proud of the team including Hannia, Venuz Adriana Gutiérrez Osuna, and Natalia León Castro. Learn more about amazing students here.
